Off-Track Betting Facilities
AmWest operates three Off-Track Betting Facilities ("OTBs"), one of which is an AmWest owned site in Sioux Falls, SD, and two of which are operated under a service agreement with the site owners in N. Sioux City, SD and Rapid City, SD. AmWest developed the business plan and managed the development and first three years of operation of Cypress Bayou, a Louisiana OTB which generates a horsemen's fund of 1 to 1.5% of handle that goes directly to horsemen's groups in the U.S. AmWest's three South Dakota OTBs provide the bulk of the purse and breeding funds for South Dakota horsemen. The further expansion of the AmWest OTB network is a key growth strategy for the company.
Our management has over 20 years of experience with designing, operating, and managing OTB’s. We provide racetrack contract management and settlement services, in addition to cost savings on tote equipment, communications expenses, and programs through our centralized management and operations team.

Riders Up

Riders Up is the only location in Sioux Falls to enjoy the fun and excitement of Thoroughbred and Greyhound racing. We offer 18 large, flat-screen TV’s, comfortable seating, and track programs. You can also enjoy snacks, soft drinks, and beer at our concession stand.
Triple Crown

The Triple Crown offers more than 20 Thoroughbred and Greyhound racetracks from around the country on our 60 television screens in a large upscale atmosphere. We offer monthly promotional giveaways, drawings, and handicapping contests. Additional entertainment includes 30 video lottery terminals and a restaurant with beer bar.
Time Out Lounge

In 2003, the Time Out Lounge sold the only winning ticket for the Breeders Cup Pick Six, which paid $2.6 million. We offer daily Thoroughbred and Greyhound racing from around the country, as well as video lottery terminals and a restaurant and full bar. After a long day of entertainment, you can check in to our Time Out Motel. Facility operator June LaCroix and her daughter Jill have been in the horse racing business for over 20 years. And because of her love of racing, she offers special motel rates to our simulcast racing fans.
